Perlcon Premix Pvt Ltd is a manufacturer of dry mix mortar formulations that facilitate quicker and better post structural construction. The cement based, light weight, sandfree and self-curing premix mortars are customised to Indian conditions at the company’s state of the art modern plant located near Ahmedabad. The formulations are developed using a fine blend of specially selected natural minerals which gives these unique properties.
The company’s range of innovative and versatile cement based plasters for all kinds of wall finishes include IcyPlast – a very light density plaster mortar with maximum heat insulation property that conserves up to 30 per cent energy inherently for the buildings.
AAC block walls plastered with Perlcon Icyplast fulfils ECBC energy conservation norms and shall not require having further heat insulation layer or coating.
R value of more than 2 is quite good for a wall system. IcyPlast has a value of 2.22 w/m2k.
Normal sand cement plaster/ Gypsum plaster can never achieve the norms without the use of insulation material like EPS, mineral wool, fibreglass wool, etc. All these materials are costly and then on top of it they still have to do regular plaster to cover it as they cannot be kept exposed. So if we make a comparison in this manner our IcyPlast will certainly be cost effective. Instead of using normal sand cement plaster/gypsum plaster if a customer uses IcyPlast as plastering material, they will get insulation property or energy conservation.
Perlcon IcyPlast is a low density mortar (400 Kg/m<sup>3</sup>) hence have almost 5 times volume compared to Sand Cement mortar, covers 2.78 sq.ft/kg for 10 mm thickness. Material cost approximately 160-170 per sq.m. for 12 mm thick plaster. It can be applied in external as well as internal applications.
