How is the demand for earthmoving equipment in India?
Market was growing at a CAGR of nearly 25 per cent for the last 3 Year, although in the current fiscal year due to elections the BHL industry has shown de growth @ 32 per cent over last year which also has affected the Production. The entire CE Industry is in degrowth in current fiscal year & is likely to continue in the current quarter but looking at the new budget, emphasis on infrastructure the Industry is expected to show positive movement in H2 of the current fiscal year. – BHL is a multi-utility Product, as per the current trends the use of BHL is becoming less in the large Corporates / Projects but at the same time it’s still one of the most preferred machine for smaller / medium and multiple jobs, which will continue. Backhoe Loader Market will continue to grow in Indian Market, there might be some setback for some time when new emission regulations get implemented.

Particularly, the demand for backhoe loaders is expected to grow as it is a versatile machine and can be employed for numerous applications at the job site. Further, factors such as decreasing availability of manual labour and increased demand for mechanisation are expected to provide a boost to the growth of backhoe loaders although due to new emission norms the big contractors may prefer the bigger machines.

Are the Government’s policies aiding this industry?
