From mining equipment to the HCVs used in the mining sector, what are some of the specific solutions you offer for the mining industry?
Our tires offer the best in class solutions for machinery requirements in the mining sector. At our Bhuj plant, we continue to expand upon our offerings to ensure our clients are serviced with the latest technological advancements in the field. We have a very wide range in our industrial tires like the wheel loader, backhoe loader, skid steer, grader, forklift, telehandler, compactor, straddle carrier and many more to help with every specific need of the mining and construction sector. Furthermore, we have also pioneered the ultra large tires in the industry; in domestic as well as global markets, as the need for giant earthmoving machines continues to rise in the coal sector.

A wide-scale production of mining tires which includes All Steel Radial range of underground mining tires has been on in full swing and in the first quarter of 2021, our 240 tonnes Giant Dump Truck Tires infused with global technology are set to take the industry by storm and are the first of their kind in India and will be a game-changer for the domestic mining segment.

What are some of the features a layman needs to watch out for to ensure he selects the right OTR for his equipment/vehicle?
Every tire we manufacture in our world-class factories serves a special market purpose. The first thing one must look into is the exact need of the particular equipment and the function it carries out. Each specific need of the industry requires a special composition for the tires, and the giant earthmoving machines need tailor-made tires that can ensure maximum efficiency for the machine and yield greatest output. One must also keep in mind the operations to be carried out by the tire itself and factors such as the Inflation pressure it needs to endure, as well as the capacity of the respective equipment and tire to ensure there is a match.

When it comes to fuel consumption and safety what advantages do your OTR offer?
Our state of the art Bhuj plant manufactures top-notch tires that have been tested at our sites that constitute a special composition keeping in mind the temperature and environmental factors at the site, and the weight and durability of the equipment supported by our tires. We also run optimal inflation pressure checks to ensure that our tires can withstand the exceedingly high severity of the mining sites and hereby ensure maximum safety for both the sites and the employees.
