“CASE is putting rigorous efforts in improving its designs and manufacturing processes to ensure the highest machine and its components’ life,” says Anil Bhatia, Director Sales and Marketing, Case India
CASE construction equipment has recently launched the new EX Series backhoe loaders which come with three models: 770 EX, 770 EX magnum and 851 EX, ranging from 76 hp to 96 hp. Anil Bhatia shares how CASE is developing new technologies and leaving benchmark for the competitors to follow.
Availability of technology which brings down OPEX
The major operating expenses in any earthmoving machine are fuel. As a part of minimising the operating expenses, CASE is focusing continuingly in developing and adopting new technologies in its engines. The updated technology being used by CASE consumes optimum fuel for the machine’s output. The wastage of the fuel is equal to null. Hence, customers can save handsome amount on fuel expenses so that the major operating expense will be minimised.
Machine and component reliability
Next to fuel cost, the major operating expenses are the life span of the machine and the components in it. The machine operating time get severely affected and the machine downtime will be increased if the machine’s and its components’ reliability is low. CASE is putting rigorous efforts in improving its designs and manufacturing processes to ensure the highest machine and its components life.
One more aspect in operating expenses is consumables, viz. lubricants and filters. Long drain intervals of lubricants can minimise the operating expenses of the machine. CASE is continuously improving the lubricants quality together with lubricant manufactures and enhancing the drain intervals of the components wherever possible.
Economical, powerful and reliable
All three CASE models feature a proven proprietary engine developed by powertrain specialist FPT Industrial and built in the CNH Industrial’s plant in Greater Noida. The engine — S8000 — stands out for its fuel efficiency and performance. The 3.9 litre, 4-cylinder engine delivers rated power of 76 hp, 86 hp and 96 hp at a rated speed of 1,400 rpm for the 770 EX, 770 EX magnum and 851 EX respectively.
The engine features an air-after cooler system that increases the density of the intake air, improving efficiency and decreasing fuel consumption. The powerful performance and fast response time coupled with a 5 per cent higher productivity and fuel savings of up to 13 per cent with a reduced fuel consumption equal of 3.97 l/h in excavation work, which means for the customer average savings of `50,000 per year.
Reliably strong
The robust robotically welded two-piece structural frame design results in great stability, performance and serviceability. Large box-section structures in high-stress areas such as the boom nose, foot and cylinder enhance the machine’s durability.
The S-styled backhoe boom delivers excellent breakout forces. It has a superior working range and reaches deeper than any other backhoe loader. Customers have a choice of two configurations: a standard dipper to reach 4.2 metres and an extendable dipper to reach 6 metres.
The EX-Series backhoe loaders would carry out all applications such as digging, loading, and trenching as well as work with hydraulic tools with exceptional fuel efficiency and productivity.
High performance
The power shuttle transmission provides four forward and reverse speeds. The hydraulically shifted clutches allow the operator to change direction and travel speed on the go, while the control valves deliver smooth speed and direction shifts, resulting in smooth and accurate operation.
Superior comfort with outstanding visibility
The EX Series features the largest cab in the industry and sets a benchmark in comfort. The wide windows and narrow pillars provide excellent all round visibility, with an unobstructed view to the attachments and to the bucket edge. The mechanical suspended seat with a cushioned high back is fully adjustable to provide the optimal driving position. The ergonomic layout of the controls further adds to the operators’ comfort and ease of operation.
Easy serviceability
The new tilting engine hood provides excellent access for maintenance. The machine layout has been designed to ensure all daily service points are easily accessible at ground level for quick and efficient servicing.
