How do you plan to meet the anticipated increase in the market demand for passenger hoist work platforms by 2027?
Everest Engineering, the exclusive dealer of GJJ passenger hoist & work platforms in India, proudly represents a globally renowned brand with an impressive average annual export of 4000-5000 units. We have successfully maintained this exclusive dealership position for the past 12 years. As the market landscape evolves, the demand for our products is rapidly expanding, necessitating a stronger presence in the market. We serve various customers in India, including corporate clients, and strive to meet their diverse requirements.
In the current market scenario, we have observed a notable increase in demand, with a growth of approximately 25-30 percent compared to the previous year. This upward trend is expected to persist until 2030. The favourable market conditions provide us with a promising opportunity to meet our customers’ needs while capitalising on this positive market trend.
What steps do you take to ensure the passenger hoist maintains high performance and reliability over time?
For over 21 years, GJJ passenger hoists have been supplied in India, providing reliable service since 2002. Even after two decades of operation, most of these passenger hoists, aged 20 to 21, continue to function without significant issues. This remarkable reliability has captured the interest of numerous corporate companies & Rental companies driving their preference for GJJ hoists. The adherence to European Design Standards enables the sale of GJJ hoists in various countries worldwide, including Europe, North America, South America, Australia, and Asian countries.
The widely recognised reliability of GJJ passenger hoists has solidified its reputation in the industry. A
s a testament to this reliability, we established our rental segment in 2016, amidst the challenges of the COVID era, under the separate entity of Everest Rentals Private Limited in 2020. Initially starting with 3-4 units of equipment, our fleet has expanded to include approximately 30 units. Furthermore, we have plans to further increase our fleet size from 30 to 50 within the current financial year. This expansion is a testament to our passenger hoists’ exceptional quality and reliability.
Can you provide more details about the safety features incorporated in GJJ passenger hoists platforms?
Our platforms are meticulously crafted to meet the stringent safety standards of European and American regulations. We have prioritised integrating top-notch safety features to ensure the utmost protection for users.
To guarantee safe operation, our hoists are equipped with high-speed cutoff and complete cutoff mechanisms. Additionally, a centrifugal braking system is installed, and a three-phase cutoff limit switch is implemented to activate in the event of any switch failure. In the rare instance that the limit switch malfunctions, a rack-sensing limit switch is seamlessly integrated to initiate an immediate cut-off. Physical stoppages are incorporated at both the top and bottom of the hoist, while dampening mechanisms are carefully engineered to enhance overall safety.
In adherence to European guidelines, our hoists also include free fall arrest arrangements and many other safety measures. GJJ hoists offer the highest safety standards globally by meticulously incorporating these safety features.
Can you shed some light on the anti-collision devices you offer for tower cranes?
In 2012, we introduced our tower crane anti-collision system to the market, beginning a decade-long journey. Through unwavering dedication, we have become an unrivalled leader, capturing an impressive 70 percent of the market share. We have successfully met the needs of nearly all tower crane users in India, including renowned companies like L&T, Tata Projects, Capacite, BL Kashyap, KEC, JMC, BG Shirke, Aurobindo and numerous others. Our anti-collision system has been widely adopted throughout the industry.
What sets our system apart is its exceptional ability to handle India’s diverse and challenging conditions. It has proven itself in sudden power failures, where many other anti-collision systems may falter. To ensure its effectiveness, we have developed software and integrated hardware from China specifically designed to address such situations. Our system has undergone 19 meticulous modifications to meet the specific requirements of the Indian market. As a testament to its success, it has become highly sought-after, with an average of 10-15 units sold monthly. This amounts to an impressive annual sales figure of approximately 150 units in India.
What solutions do you offer in the infrastructure sector?
Within the infrastructure sector, we have expanded our operations to include the supply and promotion of launchers, Straddle carriers and Self-propelled modular transporters specifically designed for a wide range of bridge construction projects, and metro and high-speed railway endeavours. Our launcher, straddle carriers and heavy transporters greatly facilitate the Loading, transportation and Launching of segments. These cutting-edge products are at the forefront of our offerings this month.
Furthermore, we are thrilled to announce that we secured an order for a beam launcher last month to be used in the esteemed Bharatmala project in Kerala. This significant achievement has prompted us to cater to various project requirements.
Could you elaborate on the innovations you have in the pipeline?
Our collaboration with GJJ has brought us to the brink of launching passenger hoist manufacturing in India. The necessary license agreements have been signed, and we anticipate commencing production within a year. Construction of the factory is already in progress. To drive innovation and improvements in our passenger hoist models, we established an R&D centre one year ago. Our dedicated team of researchers and developers is diligently working on various aspects, including enhancing quality and reliability, minimising power consumption, and increasing speed. Their efforts are focused on developing advancements that will greatly enhance the overall performance of our passenger hoists.
