What are your thoughts on digitalising construction operations in the coming years?

Digital technologies can streamline the entire process, from design to delivery, by providing accurate data points at each stage. This helps project managers engage with and optimise the resources involved, which in turn enhances project completion with timely delivery and economic control. Digitisation can also reduce human error by automating processes and allowing machines to perform tasks more accurately. Data insights can be used to understand the cost of different operations better and make more informed decisions.

The construction equipment sector and the government in India are working together to improve indigenisation. How do you assess India’s export potential in this context?

The Indian government’s “Make in India” policy and its focus on that have paid dividends. India has made vast progress in the past eight years. One can also rely on a sizable pool of highly qualified human capital that is very competitive at a global level when cost factors are taken into account, from the infrastructure point of view to deliver and receive goods to the facilitation at the local level for industrial setups and/or expansion. There are two critical factors for manufacturing activity. Lastly, India’s potential is undeniable because industrial setups can count on capacity from both domestic and export market demand.
