The Mall Development MENA Forum 2024 in Dubai brings together industry professionals to discuss innovations, trends, and collaborations impacting the future of mall building, as the region’s retail market approaches USD 1.4 trillion.
The MENA region’s retail landscape is experiencing transformation, with the mall business expected to rise from USD 808.51 billion in 2024 to USD 1,401.32 billion in 2032. Against this dynamic setting, the inaugural Mall Development MENA Forum 2024 is scheduled for November 11-12 at the Le Meridian Hotel Dubai. This significant event will bring together industry experts, stakeholders, and policymakers to discuss the future of mall development in the region.
Malls have grown in popularity as significant retail and leisure destinations in the MENA area. These malls function as community hubs, providing a variety of amenities beyond standard retail, such as food, entertainment, and cultural venues. Iconic malls in the region have become monuments and tourist destinations, attracting tourists from all over the world. As disposable incomes rise, consumers demand better shopping experiences, prompting developers to add innovative architecture, advanced technologies, and novel concepts into mall projects.
The Mall Development MENA Forum will allow industry professionals to share ideas, highlight best practices, and investigate emerging trends in mall design, construction, growth, management, and operations. Attendees will learn about market dynamics, customer behaviour, regulatory frameworks, and technological breakthroughs that are driving the future of malls. The forum will also highlight chances to form new collaborations and find innovative solutions.
The Point Abha, KSA, and BFL Group are supporting the event, demonstrating regional collaboration and a similar vision for the future of mall development. The seminar will look at architectural trends in mall building, mall management and operations issues, and community engagement techniques. It will look at customer experience and loyalty programs, the digital transformation of mall experiences, government rules and policies governing mall development, the impact of tourism on mall footfall and revenue, and new concepts in entertainment and leisure facilities. Key themes will include how to integrate online and offline retail experiences, investment prospects in MENA mall projects, the importance of technology in modern mall designs, sustainability initiatives in mall building, and urbanisation trends and their impact on mall placement.
