The Union Minister explained that the new NMDC logo reflects the company’s readiness to engage in global-scale mining while prioritising sustainability and environmental consciousness. The logo underscores NMDC’s commitment to responsible mining in harmony with nature, ensuring mineral security, fostering mineral accountability, and promoting self-reliance in the sector.

Highlighting India’s transformation from a developing nation to a developed one, the Minister remarked on the nation’s shift from being a follower to a leader on the global stage. He stressed that India is poised to embrace both citizen and global responsibilities.

He emphasised NMDC’s role in realising the National Steel Policy, 2017, aiming to establish a technologically advanced, globally competitive, and inclusive steel industry.

In his welcome address, NMDC’s CMD spoke about the new logo as a manifestation of NMDC 2.0’s vision. He retained the blue cog representing the mineral mining cycle as a tribute to the company’s heritage, signifying steadfastness and earned trust. The central image of a hand cradling the earth embodies NMDC’s commitment to sustainable and responsible mining, as well as global aspirations. The vibrant green color in the logo symbolises growth, renewal, and alignment with nature.
