In an exclusive interaction at IMME, Hectronic elaborates on the scope of digitalisation and its key offerings.

 Please provide us with an overview of the IMME 2022 focus.

The largest mining industry show in India is usually the IMME. Many influential and Industry experts visit this exhibition. The platform offers ample opportunity for vendors and customers to communicate, exchange business concerns and explore newly arrived and upgraded technologies. Additionally, footfall was good.

What markets do you serve?

Hectronic is a Swiss–German (MNC) company and Hectronic India is wholly-owned subsidiary of Hectronic AG. Hectronic is a more than 50 plus years old ISO 9001 certified company with Head office at Switzerland, Manufacturing facility at Germany with presence in more than 70 Countries globally and direct offices in 7 countries. Mining Industry remains primary source of revenue however aviation, ports, logistics, Infrastructure cement Industry goes side-side. In India, we have been operating for the past 17 years and could successfully attract major mining companies such as Vedanta, Tata Steel, JSW and Adani to name few. Other than Sales, we are also engaged in after-sales service- AMCs.

What are your offerings in fuel management, and how does it benefit the mining industry?

The primary issue in the mining sector is fuel management. Generally, mining company has their own fuel station for refuelling and from the point of receiving fuel until end litre distribution/Consumption, there are multiple points where there is potential scope to go for automation over conventional age-old practices being followed for accounting of fuel distribution. As the world is fastly moving towards digitisation this becomes even more crucial from the owner’s perspective for effective monitoring and controlling the entire refilling process. We have top loading/bottom loading/fast filling systems, RFID solutions for delivery from browsers as well as stationary dispensers, and solutions to precisely measure the receiving quantity and monitor the wet stock. These are a few of the apps on which we are focused, and once all the data has been gathered in the software, we can further integrate it with the ERP. Finally, the data is seamlessly transferred and accessible anytime bringing accountability for each litre dispensed and making the entire fuelling process completely transparent.

We have been operating in India for last 16 years. Hectronic India commenced its operations since 2006 and focused in providing end to end fuel management solution offerings to the niche market segments like Mining, Cement, Infrastructure, Steel/Power plants, ports and Logistics industries. We also concentrate on every sector where fuel consumption is very high, with the mining industry being the primary emphasis. In addition to mining, we also work in the infrastructure industry.

What are your plans and projects for next year?

Business is booming in India; we’re going to concentrate more on cloud-based offerings. Since we already have a good track record of successful FMS installation base, especially in the mining sector and has been in use for the past ten years on PAN India. Our current focus is on offering clients the benefits of software upgrades. We are now creating a cloud and custom based software solution, and users may access several dashboards, exceptional reports, remotely for improved filling process and bring optimisation on fast track.

We are introducing hybrid model controllers for e-mobility solutions. Where existing automation controller can be upgraded to handle both fuel-based vehicles and electric based vehicles.

What kind of certifications and standards do you follow to maintain efficiency in your offerings?

Hectronic is ISO 9001-certified company. We hold all necessary and current statutory approvals for all of the products we offer under our End-to-End advance refuelling management system, including OIML, Indian W&M, ATEX, and PESO for use in petroleum applications.

What kind of R&D and investments would be required to upskill your existing offerings?

We are continuously investing in R&D. We have developed solutions for E-mobility also considering the future industry from IOT Fstandpoint.
