Propel launches first electric tipper, the 470 HEV in India

470 HEV, India’s first electric vehicle Tipper is setting new milestones for performance and environmental responsibility.

Propel Industries, India’s fastest-growing crushing equipment producer, has achieved a significant milestone. The electric heavy-duty Tipper, the 470 HEV, from Propel has achieved homologation certification, which is a certificate that verifies that a vehicle is roadworthy and meets regulatory safety regulations.

The 470 HEV Tipper, India’s first smart electric heavy-duty Tipper, comes in two battery variants: 385 kWh and 256 kWh. With innovative battery options, it provides quick charging, and regenerative braking, and optimises energy efficiency for demanding workloads. The truck’s short turning radius and wheelbase provide outstanding manoeuvrability, making it suitable for both on- and off-road conditions. This high-performance vehicle has been designed to meet even the most difficult mining and construction difficulties while minimising environmental effects. Its liquid-cooled motor, clutch-less AMT gearbox, ABS, and noise-free cockpit increase operator comfort and longevity. The 470 HEV exemplifies environmental responsibility with its zero emissions, low noise levels, and asbestos-free brake lining.
