Reduce, reuse and recycle, adding sustainability to projects
.

Highlighting the positive responses received for their demonstrated mobile crushers, Mr. Piero Guizzetti, CEO of MB Crusher India, briefly spoke about their market projection for 2023.

From an organisational perspective, the exhibition has been fair. We got quality visitors in high volumes that were curious enough to explore our range of bucket crushers and attachments for heavy machinery we displayed at the exhibition. We received some orders for our crushers. With the kind of client base and demand base we could create here, we believe our next couple of months to be busy with our order books.

What are the defining features of the bucket crushers you displayed at Bauma?

This is the first time we’re demonstrating two bucket crushers from demonstration, one for excavators and one for backhoe loaders. In addition, we displayed a screening bucket for the excavators. These are two of our five product categories: crushers, screening machines, shaft screening machines, drum cutters, and grapples. Aside from the demo area, we have a drum cutter line on the show used for trenching pipework and profiling.

What steps is MB taking to address environmental problems with its goods and solutions?

The slogan of MB is embedded with the concept of sustainability. We adhere to the 3R principles of reduce, reuse, and recycle. Our product’s DNA includes environmental sensitivity and material recycling. Our products enable us to crush and process materials directly on-site. When performing redevelopment projects and removing existing infrastructure and buildings, you can choose crushing and screening based on your output requirements. That is significant to us. So, when the government implements more policies, such as the requirement to reuse 30 percent of the construction materials demolished, that will increase demand for our products.

What additional costs will it levy on the customer?

The price sensitivity in India is a relatively value-sensitive market. Our products may only be affordable sometimes, but again, it’s our responsibility to educate them on the ROI they could generate and the possible savings they can obtain. It also implies the quality of raw materials’ quality. The savings we can get through direct manufacture will always surpass the ones offered by the third-party manufacturer. So, the choices we make towards investment define the longevity of our results. By utilizing our product, customers can expect a return on investment within a relatively short amount of time, assuming a certain production capacity and equipment usage level. Our approach emphasizes the operational expenses and potential returns, rather than solely focusing on the upfront capital expenses.

What are the challenges in this business, particularly in light of the Indian government’s large road investment announcements?

As the pie grows, we’ve seen more and more competitors enter the picture. Some significant players have also entered our unique niche market. As a result, testing new things and retaining your market position will be challenging, especially as MB dominates roughly 85 percent of this market. However, competition comes from the other side of the equation. We can only expect to be in some areas of it, especially in a vast country like India. Furthermore, as competition increases, so will consumer knowledge of the product category.

How did MB Crusher fare in 2021 and 2022? And what are your plans for increasing business value this year?

We started serving the Indian market with on-the-ground operations in 2014. We focused on brand and awareness initiatives in the first three years to build a customer value chain. We subsequently began offering live demonstrations of our technology to our industry customers, which allowed us to see an upward trend in this sector. And, since 2017, we have seen a consistently increasing trend in clientele growth.

According to the figures for 2021-2022, we experienced a 50 percent Y-o-Y growth, but 2022 was a terrific year for us in terms of business and unit additions. Demand and the number of stockholders grew at an exponential rate. Despite having varied significantly in the end-use applications, our product is now mobilising our machines.
