Application areasTalking about the application areas of Rhino tanks, Sumit Raina, CEO, Shubham Acqualink India Pvt Ltd says, “Rhino tanks are extremely versatile in their application. These tanks have been successfully used in storage applications like potable water, fire water, treated water, ETP, STP, WTP, rain water harvesting, edible oils, petrochemicals and chemicals.”
Acceptance in IndiaSpeaking on the acceptance of Rhino tanks in India, Raina says, “Every new concept takes some time to get accepted. However the value proposition Rhino tanks bring on the table compared to conventional tanks is too great for anybody to overlook.”
Major innovationsFocussing on the major innovations happening in the area of manufacturing tanks, Raina says, “Indian customer takes time to adapt to new concepts. It can be because of sensitive nature of applications, due to price or just because of age old practice. RCC tanks still remain the main stay for storage options whether water, effluent, sewage etc. MS or SS panel tanks along with FRP tanks are still used for specific applications. Concepts like GFST (glass fused to steel tanks) which are very popular internationally have not taken off in India, primarily due to their high price. Our tanks and similar technology on the other hand has been able to establish the concept as it brings unmatched value proposition and benefits to the client.”
Advantage Rhino TanksWhen asked why a buyer should go for tanks manufactured by Shubham Acqualink, Raina outline some key reasons to support his views:• Save time: 100 KL tank be installed in one day as compared to RCC tanks which will take 6-8 weeks. • Huge range: Sizes from 5,000 litres to 25 lakh litres. Multiple tanks staging possible in clusters.• Re-locatable: Can be knocked down and re-assembled at a different site.• Long life: Designed for service life of 60 years. Bluescope or Tata Bluescope ZnAl sheets are used which have very high corrosion resistance. The liner is unique five-layered food grade PE liner with top layer of metallocene which is ANSI, NSF-61 certified.• Maintenance free: Its unique infinity liner is extremely tough and inert. Hence it requires virtually no maintenance.
Rhino tanks can be installed easily in any topographical area including hilly terrain where conventional tanks are sometimes almost impossible to install. They are very light in weight requires no extensive foundation for installation of the tanks. The tanks can also be installed on elevated stilts or staging above ground and also in existing areas like basements where concrete tanks cannot be built, thus making use of areas which are normally wasted and its very cost effective as compared to conventional tanks.
Indian customer takes time to adapt to new concepts. It can be because of sensitive nature of applications, due to price or just because of age old practice.
