With great pleasure, Saint-Gobain Gyproc India announces the opening of a third training facility in Latur, Maharashtra, as part of the strengthening of its partnership with the Pratham Foundation.
As a partner in the industry, Saint-Gobain aims to provide industry-relevant skills in plasterboard and false ceiling crafts to people in the Southeast region of Maharashtra, empowering them in the process. Free of charge instruction will be given, ensuring that individuals from all socioeconomic backgrounds can enhance their skills and job prospects. Participants will receive placement support following the programme.
This is the third training centre partnership between Gyproc and Pratham Foundations, intending to satisfy the demand for trained labour in the construction industry. For those who want to become drywall and false ceiling installers, the programme offers specialised training. With the help of Pratham’s resources and Saint-Gobain Gyproc’s experience, this partnership aims to raise the bar for talent development in the Indian interior fit-out industry.

Gyproc works with esteemed organisations like Pratham to ensure that high-quality training reaches those who need it most. This programme enhances practical skills and employability in the competitive construction job market by providing thorough training and hands-on experience.
Speaking to Dr Dharmik Vaishnav, Head of Projects Sales & Key Accounts Management of Saint-Gobain Gyproc India, he says, “The expansion of our collaboration with Pratham in Latur is a significant step towards building a skilled workforce that meets the evolving needs of the construction industry.
