Uranus Rust Converter is a high performance co-ordination polymer, water base, for conversion of rust and then protection of metal from rusting. In fact it is a converter and protector.
 
Performance: URC works by converting rust into an organo metallic complex protected by a polymer. When buff coloured URC is applied on a rusted surface it visibly converts rust to a brown, grey or black coloured film within minutes, depending on the degree of corrosion on the surface of the metal. This marks the end of rusting of the metallic surface.
 
Application: In the preparation of the surface URC will do away with Sand Blasting, Phosphating, Grinding, Polishing, Red oxide Coating etc.Thus saving labour and time. A simple surface preparation is carried out by removing the flaky and loose rust or old paint by the use of a wire brush. The loose particles on the surface are then removed by the air wash or water wash. This step is important because any loose particle on the surface is poison to adhesion. Grease and oil are removed by a detergent wash followed by a water wash, since the product is water based. Do not remove all traces of rust or old paint since it can be converted and protected. URC can now be applied on the rusted surface with a brush or spray. In URC application transfer a small portion in a non-metallic container. After use do not pour back the unused portion to the original container. This will prevent contamination of the product. URC accepts all types of Top Coats like enamel, epoxy, polyurethane, polyester etc.
 
Edge over international products:

All market rust converters are acidic pH2, whereas URC is neutral ph 6 to 7. this has a great advantage since neutral pH will not support rusting.
All market rust converters shelf life is only 1 year, whereas URC shelf life is in excess of 3 years. This is also due to neutral pH.
All market rust converters are free flowing, where as URC is thicksotropic, that is on application of pressure it thins otherwise it is thick. Greatest advantage is that URC does not leake from the container. Thirdly URC does not spurt on application.
All market rust converters use synthetic anti oxidant, where as URC uses natural antioxidant which is eco friendly.
