  Internet of Things (Iot) is integrated to benefit the customers through its offerings. Construction equipment manufacturing major JCB through its Livelink which is an advanced telematics system helps its customers remotely monitor and manage their machines. It maximises the productivity of the machines by providing the machines owners’ service, operation and security benefits. Customers can get SMS alerts regarding the health of the machine including engines on their mobile phones or smart devices in real time basis.

JCB Livelink provides updates on service alerts, operations and security by using the geo fencing and time fencing features.

JCB’s machines are already fitted with system. To monitor these machines in real time, JCB has set up a world-class central command centre at its Ballabgarh facility. Its dealerships have also set up similar Livelink command centres to ensure that real time support is provided to the customers.

“We have recently achieved a landmark of selling over 10,000 Livelink enabled machines in the Indian market. This milestone has been achieved only within four months of launching this technology,” informs Jasmeet Singh, Head – Corporate Communications, JCB India.
