The wait is over! South Asia’s biggest construction equipment expo, EXCON, opens its doors to welcome more than 1,000 exhibitors and over 40,000 business visitors. The mega event is going to be the perfect launch pad for exhibitors including 300 overseas companies. Focus remains: Increase productivity, fuel economy, reduce downtime and faster project execution.

Loaders
BEML, the premier earthmoving equipment manufacturing public sector company under the Ministry of Defence, expects huge growth in road projects. Apart from showcasing its higher capacity mining construction equipment, the company plans to introduce a wheel loader (BL30) with pay load capacity of 5-tonne.
Construction equipment manufacturing major JCB looks to reinforce its position as full-range infra equipment partner. At EXCON, the company plans to showcase its entire range of world-class products starting from the compact range such as Mini Excavator, Skid Steer Loader to mid-range machines such as Backhoe Loaders, Telehandlers, Super Loaders to larger Excavators, Compactors and Wheel Loaders. According to JCB, all these products have been designed and engineered to cater to the changing needs and increasing demand across different segments.
Excavators
Volvo CE India believes that its newly launched EC200D excavator will be the star of EXCON 2017! The EC200D excavator features Volvo CE’s famed fuel efficiency, a bucket breakout force of 123 kN and an arm tearout force of 96 kN, which helps it deliver high job site productivity and fast cycle times.
LiuGong India will be launching its new ‘Made in India’ 21-tonne medium range excavator- 921 Di. This heavy duty excavator has best-in-class performance with low owning and operating cost, the company claims.
Kobelco Construction Equipment India Pvt Ltd (KCEI), a subsidiary of Japan’s Kobelco Construction Machinery (KCM), to showcase its 38-tonne mining excavator SK380XDLC. Apart, the company will be introducing a long reach attachment suitable for the 22-tonne SK220XDLC which is targeted at some niche applications.
Road making machines
Over the years, Wirtgen has successfully established itself as a complete solutions provider for road making and road rehabilitation. Wirtgen Group, with its product brands Wirtgen, Vögele, Hamm and Kleemann, will be showcasing leading technologies for the entire road construction process chain at EXCON 2017. Wirtgen’s milling machines W 195, W 120 R and Slipform paver SP 62 will be celebrating their trade fair debut in India.
In road making segment, LiuGong India plans to introduce a vibratory soil compactor model 611 BSIII, designed keeping in mind the unique working conditions of India. The model features a cab that offers better visibility and ergonomically placed controls for the operator. The 3-grade absorption rubber used in the model helps in reducing the vibration felt by the operator.
Hyundai Construction Equipment would be showcasing SMART Series of machines and would be launching new products for mining and road solution. The company will be launching its wheeled excavator R140W-9S which can be ideal solution for concrete road making in India.
SDLG will showcase its G9190 motor grader with an overall working weight of 15,800 kg. This road maker is equipped with a Dalian Deutz engine which delivers a traction force of up to 82 kN. The G9190 features a 3.962-metre blade that can cut depths of up to 635 mm. The blade can also be inclined up to 47-degree forward and 5-degree backward.
Concrete equipment
Schwing Stetter India, the 100 per cent subsidiary of the Schwing Group of companies, will bring a slew of innovative concrete equipment to EXCON. The company plans to introduce 19 new products out of the 48 products which include entry level concrete pump SP 1015 and medium level concrete pump SP 1315.
KYB-Conmat, a subsidiary of multi-billion dollar company KYB Corporation of Japan, is a key player in the concrete equipment industry. The company believes that EXCON 2017 is going to be one of the biggest business opportunities for the construction equipment sector. Taking this opportunity, the company plans to launch 3 new products namely Side Discharge Conveyor, 1-tonne Rack & Pinion Elevator, and Paving Concrete Machine for city roads at the expo.
Concrete equipment manufacturer Putzmeister is known for its different approach to trade shows, however the main focus being on customer-experience which is going to continue even at EXCON 2017. The visitors can expect a glimpse of the biggest challenges Putzmeister has recently overcome in India and in the world.
Maxmech Equipments Pvt Ltd will introduce 37- and 42-metre capacity concrete boom pumps from KCP Heavy Industries Co. Ltd., South Korea. The company will also be launching self loading transit mixer, artificial sand making plant and crusher machines.
Akona has designed and developed Self Loader Concrete Mixer in two models 2 cu.m and 4 cu.m capacities which will be showcased at the EXCON. According to Akona, the latest upgraded version hydraulic system of self loader makes the customer user-friendly and more efficient to work.
Venus Equipment plans to launch compact mobile type batching plants named Venus Eco Series having production capacity of 15 cum/hour to 36 cum/hour. In this series, the company has four different models to meet the different requirement of the clients.
Cranes & MHE
Action Construction Equipment Ltd. (ACE) is one of India’s leading material handling and construction equipment manufacturers. The company will be primarily focusing upon promoting recently launched F160, F210, FX230, FX250 NextGen Mobile cranes and its road construction equipment this year at EXCON 2017.
Whereas, in the cranes segment, TIL will be displaying its new long boom truck cranes, long boom rough-terrain crane, pick-n-carry crane, reach stacker, and 300-tonne all-terrain crane. The company’s new long boom truck crane TMS 880M in the 80-tonne category is expected to be the game changer.
Everest Engineering Equipment Pvt Ltd plans to launch the GJJ fully galvanised men and material hoist (passenger hoist) which can extensively be used in the construction of multi-storey buildings, cement plant, steel plant, refinery, power plant, and dams. The company would also display anti-collision systems for tower cranes which can be fitted on any make or model of tower cranes.
Spartan Engineering Industries is going to launch a product, Spartan Multifunctional Minilift (SML 100), which is expected to revolutionalise material movement for the projects not more than 70 metres. It is a wire rope driven Minilift which can carry various material till 1-tonne capacity.
Crane maker Liebherr will introduce its new tower crane NC-B 9-62 model which is produced in the factory in Pune. The new tower crane is designed for the building of skyscrapers with high working heights. It can also be deployed in housing projects for the external climbing.
Access equipment
XCMG will bring different range of aerial work platforms from its product line of fire-fighting machinery. With a small boundary dimension, wide working range, strong obstacle climbing ability, simple safe and reliable operation, the aerial working platform can be widely used in the construction, repair and maintenance of plant, fire-fighting industry, warehouses, airports, municipal engineering and in other facilities.
Whereas an Indian company, Vanjax Sales Pvt Ltd will be showcasing its ‘Made in India’ self propelled scissor lift and aerial work platforms aluminium telescopic mast which are 90 per cent indigenised.
New Age Construction Equipment Engineering Company is in the business of steel suspended working platforms, bar bending machine, bar cutting machine and various types of building construction equipment. At EXCON, the company will be introducing its self-made square shape rope suspended platform, bar bending machine, bar cutting machine and mini lift, L-shape (90 degree) platform.
Trucks
At EXCON 2017, premium truck maker Eicher will showcase Eicher Pro Series 8000 and 6000 mining tippers. This state-of-the-art truck series comes with innovative features, intelligent systems and optimised powertrain that work together to achieve best-in-class fuel efficiency for over 16 different applications.
Lubricants
Lubricants play a crucial role in achieving the optimal efficiency from a construction equipment (CE) or a heavy commercial vehicle (HCV). It also helps in reducing total cost of ownership and increasing equipment uptime. Lubricant majors are even developing customised products with close collaboration of CE and HCV OEMs. The Hinduja Group-owned Gulf Oil has already formed strong partnerships with manufacturers like Ashok Leyland, Bharat Benz, Volvo Penta, Mahindra & Mahindra, and Schwing Stetter. At EXCON, Gulf Oil looks forward to meet all the relevant OEMs under one platform and talk about extending partnerships.
Shell Global Lubricants sees a more rapid adoption of leading edge lubricants that provide energy efficiency, productivity benefits and lower the total cost of ownership. Shell also aims to focus on partnerships with its OEM partners and highlight its various product and service offerings to meet the challenging needs of the industry.
Crushing & Screening
Thyssenkrupp will be showcasing its range of crushing equipment like the Jaw Crusher, Cone crusher and Vertical Shaft Impactor at EXCON 2017. Heavy-duty Jaw Crusher EB1108 with bigger flywheel and automatic grease lubrication system shall be displayed as a primary crushing unit. Secondary crushing unit will be of German design Cone Crusher KUBRIA FM110 with adjustable bushing and automatic lubrication system for Spider bushing.
MB has been a key player in the fields of crushing, demolition and recycling. At EXCON 2017, MB India will organise a real demonstration area with its machine working. Visitors will have the opportunity to understand which kind of solutions MB Crusher attachments can bring to their respective construction sites. Visitors will also have the opportunity to see the company’s recently launched S4 series for BF90.3 bucket crusher at work.
Tyres
With over 92 per cent of its products exported to more than 160 countries across the world, Balkrishna Industries (BKT) remains the global giant in off-highway tyre business. At EXCON, apart from displaying its top-of-the-range Earthmax tyre line-up for construction, mining and earthmoving vehicles, BKT will present world-class tyres for varied industrial applications.
Drill
Epiroc Mining India Ltd plans to launch upgraded versions of its semi-hydraulic drill models, AirROC D35SH and AirROC D40SH. According to the company, these drills are an upgrade from the existing AirROC model and are a more productive and cost-effective solution.
Attachments
Ajashy Engineering launches Ajashy Tree Spade – an attachment which gives a remarkable alternative to cutting the trees at road, infrastructure and construction projects. The Tree Spade, cutting through the soil, uproots the trees along with the root ball, which can be transplanted at a new location. Thus, many full grown trees can be saved contributing to environment while the project executing companies prevent the hassle of plantation and maintenance of new saplings whose survival rate is quite less.
DOZCO will bring 7000A Rock Breaker suitable for 70-80 tonne class excavators having features of: Reinforced body for greater reliability, new accumulator design for higher efficiency, large piston diameter for increased impact energy, and improved power or weight ratio to maximise productivity.
