Industry finds an encouraging trend in the HVAC sector wherein the customers are demanding products with lower life cycle costs.

How do you perceive the expansion of HVAC industry in India?
We see a positive growth in the Indian HVAC industry. We also find an encouraging trend in the HVAC sector wherein the customers are demanding products with lower life cycle costs. The customers are demanding products with low power consumption and minimal maintenance, which helps them focus on their core business. This philosophy fits in very well with our product range, which is designed keeping in view highest efficiency and highest reliability, based on German Engineering.

We see upswing in the cold chain industry as more organised players are getting into this field. India still has a long way to go to reach a stage where the food products, fruits and vegetables are not wasted but are treated properly, stored in the right conditions and transported to the consumers.

How do your products enhance efficiency and reliability?
For the past 109 years, Ziehl-Abegghas been setting trends in the industry by designing and manufacturing fans with core focus on high efficiency, high reliability and low noise. The product range that we offer to the HVAC industry includes axial fans, with both AC and EC motors in external rotor motor design; tube axial fans with IE2/IE3 motors; direct driven backward curved centrifugal fans, with AC and EC motors (ECblue) in external rotor motor design; direct driven back ward curved centrifugal fans (plug fans) with IE2/IE3 motors; sensors and controllers to vary the speed of the fans, depending on the cooling load, customised axial fans for applications like ammonia refrigeration.

All the products offered by us are German engineered and manufactured according to the German standards, which ensures that our customers get what they pay for, in terms of air performance, noise, efficiency and reliability.We offer our fans to the original equipment manufacturers of air handling units, air cooled chillers, condensers, evaporators, dry coolers, refrigeration equipment manufacturers, etc.

What are the latest products from your company?
Ziehl-Abegg is the first company worldwide to certify direct driven plug fans and EC centrifugal fans for the new Fan Energy Index (FEI). In 2018, Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA) International introduced FEI to save energy, reduce operating costs, and accelerate decarbonisation.This is our long-term commitment to the reliability and accuracy of measurement data.

In March 2019, we launched next generation of ECblue fans with best in industry efficiency, which will help our customers to save the precious energy for our country.
