Properties of zinc rich paints: Innovative Coating Industries offers a range of zinc rich paints in liquid paint and metal spray formats. These products offer corrosion protection against saline and normal atmospheric weather conditions to the coated surfaces. A quick drying superb anti-corrosive primer based on finest zinc dust and special synthetic resin medium which renders excellent protection to steel structures, tanks, pipelines, plant components etc. in both interior and exterior exposed condition. The product possesses good adhesion to zinc coated surfaces and is also used for cold galvanising and touch up galvanizing. It provides galvanic protection and also gives good resistance to under film creeping corrosion, sub-surface corrosion protection, scratched and damaged areas. ZINKOTE 20 GP and PREMIUM contains 90 + 2 per cent zinc content in dry film.
Surface preparation: Degrease and blast clean to SA 2 per cent grade minimum of Swedish specification SIS-05-5900-1967. Surface profile should not exceed 65 microns. On weathering a white deposit of zinc salt may appear on the surface.  These are to be removed by water scrubbing, sand/grit sweeping etc. and the surface should be clean and dry before over coating.

Zinc Metal Spray/ Zinc Bright Aerosol Spray:For use at the Inspection stages, at the work sites and at greater heights, the company offers Self spray aerosols.
 Important: Shake the can vigorously for 1-2 min before each use. After use, inverse the can and spray for 2-3 seconds to clean the spray mechanism of the aerosol spray.
Uses of ZINKOTE 20 zinc rich paints:It finds its use in many applications like MS fabrications, zinc coated pipes, pipelines, petrochemical units, refineries, marine installations, sub-station structures, road crash barriers, GI pipes, solar power panels, HVAC equipment, steel PEBs, dams, silos, farm equipments, factory trusses, chimneys, etc.  Precaution: Contents are flammable. Not to be applied when the temperature is above 50 C and relative humidity rises above 90 per cent. Being zinc based, the coating is not resistant to acid and alkalis. Do not apply during rain, fog or mist. Stir the paint well at the time of application. Operators to use all safety gear. Use in good ventilated area.
