S eeing the success of anti-collision systems for tower cranes which were introduced during the bC India 2014, Everest Engineering Equipment Pvt Ltd has launched an advanced tower crane camera system in the Indian market. According to Managing Director of the company PV Ramdev, “The camera system which should be fitted on tower crane trolley will enable operators to view the hook on harsh site conditions.” Tower crane operators can adjust the focal length according to his requirement.

The tower crane camera system having visibility range from 10 metres to 900 metres is manufactured by Chinese company Chengdu Hi-Tech Crane Safety Co., Ltd.

Commenting on the unique features of this state-of-the-art device, Ramdev said, “Anti-collision and zone protection system CXT/90 can be used in all models of tower cranes. The system shows the visual and clear picture covering the working states of tower cranes. It can modify parameters wirelessly through a portable computer without climbing up the tower cranes by the operators.”

Tower crane camera system can move along with the trolley. This camera is connected with a battery and a solar charging system which can move on the crane and view the hook which is being lifted. In building industry, operators are unable to view how the load is lifted because of the obstruction of the buildings and structures. The camera also has a remote to enable operators to adjust distance to have a clear view on the lifting load and thereby improves the safety of machines and people. This camera system can also be used on luffing cranes and crawler cranes. With the advanced technology, the system can control and deal with on-site construction problems and promise an effective and safe running for the operator. “The tower crane camera system will lessen the load over developers as they have to work day and night to execute projects on time,” claims Ramdev.

Flexibility in installation
Whether it is flat cranes, concrete cranes, crawler or luffing cranes – can be fitted to all the existing models of tower cranes without the need of any modification. It is weather proof and thus can be used in rain.

Strengthening partnerships
Everest Engineering Equipment also brings in SYM tower cranes to the Indian market. SYM is a 65 years old Chinese company manufacturing 8-tonne to 64-tonne categories tower cranes. SYM can offer luffing, flat top and topkit type cranes with various type of mechanism according to the building height, lifting load and lifting speed.

About 78 SYM tower cranes were sold in India with in 8years and there has been no major complaint till date, claimed Ramdev.

Commenting on his partnership with Everest, Fisher Min, Overseas Director, Sanyo Heavy Industry says, “Everest Engineering’s superior expertise in terms of marketing and serviceability is the major USP. They have adequate qualified technicians to support our product range and after-sales services.”

Expansion plans
Everest Engineering has started the business four years back as a service provider to the construction industry. “Since there is no restriction in terms of providing service to the industry, we will be expanding the service network in the coming years.  As the Indian market is expected to witness exponential growth, we would like to expand more in the coming years,” said Ramdev.

He also observes, “Most of the construction equipment companies who stand in the market do not want to increase their service set up for after warranty services due to which the customer will suffer. In that case we have a good opportunity to serve them and grow our service set up.”
