Lintec & Linnhoff and Gainwell sign new manufacturing partnership to Make in India
.

Lintec & Linnhoff are in a great position to design one-of-a-kind equipment that are tailored to the needs of customers in India and the surrounding region.

Lintec & Linnhoff Holdings (LLH) and Gainwell Commosales Private Limited have formed a strategic manufacturing and distribution partnership to expand their presence in the thriving South Asian market. Gainwell Engineering Pvt Ltd, Gainwell’s manufacturing arm, will oversee the licenced production of Linnhoff asphalt plants and Eurotec concrete plants. Linnhoff asphalt and Eurotec concrete plants will be distributed and serviced by Gainwell Commosales Private Limited in India, Nepal, and Bhutan. End-to-end customer and technical support will be provided, including after-sales support, retrofit and refurbishment of plants, and the supply of spare parts and components.

The partnership with Gainwell seeks to leverage the success its brands have enjoyed over the past three decades, reaffirming LLH’s commitment to the Indian market, where over 500 of its plants have already been sold. The new collaboration will result in a stronger brand and product offering to meet a wide range of project requirements. These will range from standard plants to more complex or specialised solutions designed specifically for the domestic market. Gainwell and LLH will attract new customers while better serving existing ones as a result of their collaboration.

“The Make in India local manufacturing initiative has been critical to our re-entry into the market, as we plan to scale up the business with our ideal blend of high-quality, local production based on the best of European engineering design. Our commitment to and investment in India reflects our belief in this globally significant economy,” says Daniel Chan, Chairman, Lintec & Linnhoff Holdings Pte. Ltd.

Furthermore, we intend to use India-based licenced manufacturing to support some of our regional customers in the long run, so finding a partner with a similar business ethos, as well as the capability and resources to meet our high manufacturing and distribution standards, was an important part of the selection process.

Sunil Chaturvedi, Chairman and Managing Director of Gainwell Commosales Private Limited, says, “We are thrilled to cooperate with Lintec & Linnhoff to indigenously produce state-of-the-art high technology goods and help the creation of sustainable infrastructure for the nation.”

Gainwell, a market leader in construction, mining, energy, and transportation, and LLH, a global leader in asphalt and concrete batching plants, will benefit from this collaboration. These two legacy organisations have a long history of supporting nation-building by providing powerful and innovative infrastructure solutions.

A roadmap for success

With the allocation of ₹108,230 crore (US $14.85 billion) for the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways from the Union Budget of 2021–2022 alone, and a likely US $350 billion investment in road infrastructure in the northeast of the country during 2020–2025, the huge potential for growth is evident.

In particular, special emphasis is being placed on the expansion and modernisation of India’s national highways—which account for just 2 percent of the 6.2 million km of national road network while carrying over 40 percent of total traffic. The doubling of their length has long been a priority of the government. Therefore, following their 50 percent growth over the past seven years, another 25,000 km is planned during FY2022–2023, with a target of adding 100 km per day – triple the average daily distance achieved during FY2020–2021.

“By combining our world-leading German engineering know-how, quality and reliability with local manufacture and expertise, we are ideally placed to create unique machines that are perfectly suited to the needs of customers in India and the surrounding region,” concluded Daniel Chan.
