On the back of 10 years’ worth of data specific to India, MB Crusher has been successful in customising its products to suit the Indian conditions says Piero Guizzetti, CEO, MB Crusher India.
What are the opportunities you see in Indian crushing and screening market today?
Indian infrastructure over the past few years has witnessed a phenomenal boost in spending by the government. Notably, sectors like roads, bridges, railways, metro have seen a major chunk of the government spending. Furthermore as the private sector involved in mining and quarrying operations recovers from the concessions held back a few years ago, opportunities will continue to rise.
What kind of innovations are designed by you to meet the emerging demand for crushing and screening?
MB Crusher invests heavily on R&D. The line of MB Crusher drum cutters utilizes a patented direct drive twin motor system. This direct transmission dual motor system allows differentiated distribution of force on the two drums when encountered with tough materials on any of the sides.
This has been designed to better accommodate the non-homogenous nature of material encountered in applications such as trenching. On the back of 10 years’ worth of data specific to India, we have updated our bucket crushers to better suit the specific characteristics of Indian stone and materials.
What are the criteria to keep in mind while designing a crushing and screening plant?
It is necessary to understand the financial capacity of the client. Productivity should then be defined considering project timelines. The timelines are necessary since many a time clients on a particular TPH can get the job done even with low capex solutions. Clients should also consider entire product life cycle costs and not merely project specific spends. Our machines can hop from one site to the other, thereby always finding an application or purpose; hence the focus should be on product efficiency which will ensue a constant source of revenue with zero idleness.
How do you see the impact of the present government policies in this market?
The present government is spending heavily on infrastructure sector. The country is currently witnessing an infrastructure upgrade. This in turn will accelerate the demand for crushed and aggregate materials in the near future.
What kind of training do you offer to your dealers and customers operators so that the machines deliver optimum efficiency?
Our company firmly believes in continuously upgrading/ updating our knowledge with regards to our product categories. We conduct refreshment sessions for our dealers’ and executives on a regular basis. For the customers and their operators, we conduct detailed training sessions. These sessions focus on all the aspects of how to operate the machine correctly including the do’s and don’ts. It also emphasizes on different ways to conduct scheduled maintenance and checks. So if any time to reduce machine downtime.
What are some of the existing challenges which the crushing and screening industry needs to overcome in order to facilitate a sustainable business climate?
One of the major hurdles faced by almost every industry is getting finance from the financial institutions. This is also true for our industry and in order to sustain a bright future, the industry pundits need to come up with an innovative way to re-initiate the rolling of funds so that the industry can continue to move.
