Spartan boasts of State-of–the-Art manufacturing facility at Atgaon on Mumbai-Nashik highway. It is fully equipped with world class equipment to manufacture an array of construction equipment and Fire Evacuation Lifts. It is spread across 5 acres with 1 lac Sq.ft. build-up Shed and Office.

Operational excellence

Spartan’s “Operational Excellence Apex Committee” is lead by the Managing Director- Dr Vikram Mehta, followed by Department heads of Production, Design, Quality, Stores, Purchase and Administration. This committee takes various steps and initiatives to produce the best product in a productive and safe environment.

Spartan’s Chairman Mr. Mahendra Mehta

The mission, machine and the man, Mahendra Mehta, Founder and Chairman of Spartan was born on 24th September 1946 in Mumbai in a middle class Gujarati family. After completing his degree in Engineering, specialised in Mechanical Engineering from VJTI, he took a job in a small engineering company to understand the nuances of business for couple of years. After which he thought of business, which was already his passion. Thus he gave birth to Spartan and founded it in the year 1971 with a humble beginning with 2 lathe machines and 2 workers. His core work was to do customised machining for various customers in Mumbai and suburbs. Due to his sincerity, hard work and knowledge he was well accepted in the market and grew manifold and faster.

Mahendra Mehta is quite active in company’s affairs like finance, administration and production, and also passes on his knowledge and experience to the staff. He dedicates his success to the blessings of God and the people who met and contributed to his success all the way long.
He believes in Employee development and has always considered all the employees as his family. He participates in various internal events and activities, thereby constantly boosting morale of the employees.

Spartan’s Managing Director Dr. Vikram Mehta

Dr. Vikram Mehta is a young and dynamic second generation entrepreneur. He is an alumni of Wharton & Kellogg University who did his MBA from SP Jain and graduated in Production Engineering from Agnel, a premier institute in Mumbai.
He joined his father’s business in the year 2005. He transformed his father’s engineering business then, into a Construction Equipment manufacturing business.
He has introduced to India, one of the most advanced safe and innovative hoists like Multi-functional material hoists, making Spartan a renowned brand in India for Hoists. His innovation in Hoists has been rewarded by Builder’s Association of India (BAI) by felicitating him with ‘Navratna of Construction Industry’.

Considering the success in his business in a decade and thorough understanding of the Construction Industry, he has paved a way for himself to be honoured with many laurels as mentioned below:
