Tower crane anti-collision and zone protection systems are now essential safety attachments to avoid collision with other tower cranes, nearby structures, etc. 

Design

Our anti-collision and zone protection systems are designed for Indian conditions like frequent power failures, power fluctuations, heavy rains and communication disturbance due to surrounding steel structures. For the easiness of operator’s widescreen display, clear indications, alarm and cut-off are also an added advantage. These systems are suitable for any make or any model of tower cranes.

Our anti-collision systems are switched ‘on’ or ‘off’ any number of times which may not crash the motherboard, the system will start functioning within a few seconds of switch ‘on’. Power module (SMPS) is kept away from the motherboard to avoid heat generated motherboard failures.

Live communication with other tower cranes and ground monitoring system are configured with wireless radio. The radio frequencies are as specified by the Ministry of Communications for crane control (non-licensed).

Functions

  1. Tower crane jib to jib collision will be stopped.
  2. Tower crane jib to counter jib collision will be stopped.
  3. Hanging load on the hook will not be get collided with other cranes jib or counter jib.
  4. Live positioning of Trolley/hook.
  5. Live positioning of slewing (Rotation) angle.
  6. Additional functions of safe load indicator (SLI) are inbuilt.
    • Load display and cut off
    • Wind velocity warnings
    • Hook height
  7. History of functions can be downloaded to a pen drive.
  8. Power failure safety: If power of one tower crane is failed, then other tower cranes cannot enter the rotating circle of power-failed tower crane. Because the power-failed tower crane may rotate anywhere due to the wind acting on it and may collide.

Ground monitoring system 

We also offer a ground monitoring system, which can be attached with any computer/laptop within your site. Any height extension of any tower crane can be uploaded to all tower crane anti-collision systems from this ground monitoring system. Otherwise, the engineer has to modify the height changes on each tower crane after every height extension. As many as 30 tower cranes can be configured with one ground monitoring system. We have installed more than 450 anticollision systems in India within a span of seven years and are working satisfactorily.
