Schneider Electric, a prominent leader in spearheading the digital revolution in energy management and cutting-edge automation, is playing a pivotal role in supporting the Namami Gange initiative by contributing to the sustainable automation of India’s Largest Single Stage Wastewater Treatment Plant in Delhi. This transformative project, aligned with the Delhi Jal Board Yamuna Action Plan, is being realized through a collaborative effort with SUEZ, a global expert in environmental services, entrusted with the construction of this crucial plant. Schneider Electric stands at the forefront as the primary provider of energy management and NextGen automation solutions.
With a staggering capacity to treat 564 million liters of sewage sustainably each day, this state-of-the-art plant is poised to cater to the needs of approximately 30 million residents in the national capital. Its primary objective is to elevate water quality standards and mitigate pollution levels in the river, all while striving for self-sufficiency and sustainability by generating about 50 percent of its energy requirements through biogas.
