What will be your primary focus at bauma 2023?

One of the premier events in the world of concrete equipment is bauma India. How do you assess India’s export potential for CE?

India is poised to become the second-largest player in the CE industry by 2030. With a solid push from the government of India’s ambitious infrastructure development plans like the national bank for financing and GATI Shakti, we can foresee ourselves as the 2nd largest industry by 2030. With an emphasis on indigenisation, businesses can fulfil domestic requirements with tailored and cost-effective options.

The Bharatmala project, the second-largest highway construction project in India, was started in 2017 and aims to improve connectivity, particularly along economic corridors, border areas, and remote regions. The project aims to construct 65,000 km of national highway in two phases to improve the efficiency of freight and passenger movement across the nation by filling essential infrastructure gaps. NHAI had a goal of finishing the complete road system by 2022.

The first part of the project is anticipated to be finished by 2026; however, the entire project needs to catch up due to several problems mixed with multiple waves of the coronavirus pandemic. The project is anticipated to produce 100 million man-days of employment and roughly 22 million jobs. India will become a hub for exports focusing on Atmanirbhar Bharat, localisation, and indigenisation.

Which equipment and developments, in your opinion, will drive the industry’s shift to sustainable construction?

Sustainable construction will result from more than just technology development. The main problem is the need for more skilled labour. A skill-oriented education is urgently needed in our country to increase employability in light of the explosive expansion of new technologies. AJAX Engineering Pvt. Ltd. is undertaking initiatives under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme by conducting a “Vocational Skill Development Training Program” for the skill enhancement of rural, semi-urban, and urban youths for employability, strengthening this by feeding the pipeline, and supporting the initiative of Skill India (NSDC).

AJAX empowers youngsters by giving them the necessary skill sets through this training program. Following the successful completion of the training programme, this training would guarantee a job opportunity with one of our customers or dealers.
