Rudra Group has been the  manufacturer of formwork accessories and re-designer of pre-owned formwork  since 2016. Successfully supplying  customised designs and site support formwork as  Per client requirements across PAN India, in 2019 the group  decided to enter into a full-fledged manufacturing setup & shifted to a new base establishing Rudra Aluminium Formwork System, where Madhav Kant and Ashok Choudhary decided to form a partnership firm to take this company to the next level.

Demand trends for aluminium formworks
Since the 2008 recession, the Indian real estate market has always been in danger. Considering the sluggish IT market, which increased in the 1990s and the mid-20s, and the significant investors or buyers coming from that  sector to Tier 1 and 2 cities in 2014, a new administration is expected to bring the sector optimism and a booming real estate market. In Tier 2 cities, the  construction market has increased by more than 200 percent thanks to the new idea of EWS/affordable housing.

Challenges
Presently, the organised and unorganised sectors make up close to 2000 CR of the present market for aluminium formwork. People with experience in design and fabrication have formed their businesses  without understanding the financial repercussions over the past five years. The firm is mostly attracted by its cash flow and ability to transact business through MS without  understanding its dynamics. Because of the unorganised market’s minimal overhead, it is expanding. Because of profitability in mass production, the competition is cut  short. The construction businesses has shown confidence in an unorganised market, which they demonstrated without  a thorough understanding of the industry, which has led to several failures. The budget for  acquiring the material has been significantly reduced. Companies are asking for only 50-60 repetitions from the profile, which is intended to be utilised over 200 times. Meeting the needs of
every customer is difficult, but we are  nonetheless able to meet every customer’s needs.

Potential for formwork business in India
The market potential is enormous. The  only problem is the lack of new alloy due to the impact of COVID on imports. Primary suppliers such as Brazil, the Middle East, and Australia are not producing the alloy simultaneously as shipping costs and the US Currency contribute to price increases.  We anticipate an increase in usage in response to company purchases. Before selling the material as scrap, construction businesses should make the best use of it, and the building designs should be made more straightforward to avoid waste.
