I believe with the economy doing well, the AWP industry overall is gradually showing signs of positive growth both in business in the end user segment as well as the rental segment.

Haulotte India Pvt Ltd is a 100 per cent subsidiary of Haulotte Group, France.  Souma Ray, Director, Haulotte India shares his take on the performance of the construction equipment industry, how the year 2016 was for Haulotte India and the company’s achievements.

Recent performance
Speaking about the recent performance of the construction equipment industry in India, Ray says, “On a global perspective the demand of AWPs has certainly increased both in government and private sector. The rental sector is also seeing good demands of our equipments which is an encouraging sign. Taking these things forward we are sure of the construction equipment sector is expected to sustain market growth for the next four years, albeit at more sustainable levels.” He further adds, “With the impetus being given by the government towards Infrastructure development, we definitely are hopeful that growth in the Equipment sector shall gather pace in the years to come. It is unfortunate that most of the major projects like the Navi Mumbai International Airport, Nhava Sheva Sewri Sea Link are still in the planning stage. Also we are yet to see any substantial spurt in demands. We are sure that growth in this sector shall definitely touch new highs.”

Signs of positive growth
Speaking about how the year was for the company, Ray said, “I believe with the economy doing well, the AWP industry overall is gradually showing signs of positive growth both in business in the end user segment as well as the rental segment. In case of Haulotte, this has been a year of one of our best performances and with the economic indicators we expect this growth rate to sustain in 2017 too.”

Consolidating position
Sharing the company’s achievements during the last one year, Ray said, “We have consolidated our position of leadership in the last one year not only in India but also in the neighbouring SAARC countries. Our business has been growing across sectors thanks to the tireless effort of our team and our partners in business. We have continued in our success story at Powergrid wherein we have supplied sizeable numbers of our boomlifts this year.”

Bauma Conexpo India 2016
Haulotte has been a regular participant in Bauma across the world. The company has been there with Bauma India since 2011and have participated in all the 3 exhibitions held till date. This year too the company will participate in the Bauma Conexpo India 2016 at Gurgaon. The company will be located at Outdoor Stall No. 840. Ray expects that customers from both, end user sector and rental sector who shall be visiting the stall would be made familiar to the latest technological advances that  Haulotte has done in the range of AWPs and Telehandlers. “For Bauma Conexpo 2016, we shall be exhibiting our latest generation of Rough Terrain Articulated Boom, Vertical Mast, Electric Scissor and Telehandler. Each variant has its own USP, but one of the many distinguishing notable feature is in the lower ground control box of our articulating boom. We have incorporated the Haulotte Diagnostic screen in the panel which shall enable the user to get all details of performance and related parameter at a touch of a button. Further, any fault diagnosis can also be done on this screen which gives a pictorial description of the nature and location of the fault. This tremendously helps in reducing the downtime of the machine and any intervention can be done in the shortest possible time,” Ray explains.

He adds, “The aim of participation in Bauma Conexpo is not only for generation of business which of course is a prime objective but also to increase the awareness of the multifarious use of AWP and Telehandlers across sectors. That is what we are showcasing in our offering during this exhibition.”
