Earthmoving and Construction Equipment Manufacturing major JCB offers a wide array of products ranging from Backhoe Loaders to Wheeled Loaders to Telehandlers and Skid Steer Loaders.  JCB Wheeled Loaders and Tracked Excavators are also gaining popularity in the Indian Mining Industry.   Talking about JCB’s portfolio in the Mining segment, Jasmeet Singh, Head- Corporate Communications and External Relations at JCB India Limited said, “We are primarily into the manufacturing of Construction and Earthmoving machines however, some of our machines are now increasingly been used in the Mining sector. In the JCB Wheeled Loader segment, our new entrant JCB 455ZX – 5.5T payload machine will be useful for effective mining operations due to highest degree of productivity, reliability and efficiency.”   Futuristic technology Alike others industrial areas, mining equipment segment is also cruising through rapid technological transformation. When asked about the technology trends that will attract attention in the coming years, Jasmeet says that the technology trends will continue to grow irrespective of its use in either Construction or Mining sector. He adds, “Internet of Things (IoT) is going to be the game changer in product development. To optimise the benefits of IoT, JCB has introduced a state-of-the-art telematics technology called JCB Livelink.”   The JCB 455ZX Wheel Loader which can be used in the mining sector, is equipped with this technology. Explaining details about this breakthrough technology, Jasmeet said, “Livelink helps our customers remotely monitor and manage their machines. It maximises the productivity of the machines by providing real time alerts on Service, Operation and Security benefits to the machines owners.”   JCB Livelink strives to deliver constructive, real-time information to increase profits and improve productivity. Both, the equipment owners and operators can look for information such as fuel consumption, idle time, machine location, fluid levels and service alerts on their mobile devices or laptops using the internet. It also helps in informing users via SMS alerts, the location and condition of their JCB machines.
Geo fencing and Time fencing features also give out SMS alerts whenever the machine moves out of the designated, pre-determined geographical areas. This feature also works when the machine is being operated beyond the time that the customer has preset.
Speaking about the future endeavours of JCB India in introducing breakthrough technologies, Jasmeet said, “We launched Livelink about a year ago and it still continues to be the technology of the hour.
