JLG Industries, Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation [NYSE: OSK] company and a leading global manufacturer of mobile elevating work platforms and telehandlers, and Hinowa, a manufacturer of crawler-mounted work platforms, mini dumpers, tracked lift trucks, and undercarriages, will mark the 12-year anniversary of their collaboration at bauma 2022 with the introduction of a refreshed EC Series.

JLG Industries intended to distribute four of Hinowa’s crawler-mounted products under an arrangement reached by the two manufacturers in 2010, with JLG selling only in the United States and other markets outside the European Union. The supply deal expanded into a deeper relationship over time, resulting in JLG expanding its available range of compact crawlers to six models and a production agreement for JLG’s EC Series of electric construction boom lifts.

During Bauma, both firms will reveal the EC Boom Series Mark II, represented by the EC520AJ, at the Hinowa display (FS1007/1). Advanced battery technology has been updated, with an enhanced battery capacity of 10kW and the ability to upgrade the pack to 20kW for longer duty cycles and autonomy. JLG also improved its cold-weather performance. Another significant enhancement is the much-requested 4×4 drive option, which increases terrain capability.
