VINNAPAS 4220 L produces smooth, uniform surfaces that satisfy even the strictest eco-label requirements, such as EMICODE EC1+
Munich-based WACKER Group has presented a new dispersible polymer powder for cost-efficient self-levelling compounds at this year’s MosBuild, which took place from April 1 to 4, in Moscow.
VINNAPAS 4220 L produces smooth, uniform surfaces that satisfy even the strictest eco-label requirements, such as EMICODE EC1+. WACKER is also presenting its extensive portfolio for the Russian construction and coatings industries, ranging from polymer and silicone products for facades and fire protection coatings, through hybrid polymers for solvent-free adhesives and sealants, to water-repellent sealing slurries.
At MosBuild 2014, WACKER has presented its new VINNAPAS 4220 L dispersible polymer powder for formulating cost-efficient, eco-friendly self-levelling flooring compounds. This powder, developed for the Russian market, is based on vinyl acetate-ethylene copolymer (VAE) and produces a smooth surface that possesses high abrasion resistance, flexural strength and compressive strength. The new binder also confers good levelling properties, low viscosity and good defoaming properties. Not only it yields uniform surfaces with no air bubbles, but VINNAPAS 4220 L can also be used in self-levelling flooring compounds that have an ultra-low content of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and so meet the latest environmental and safety standards, such as EMICODE EC1+. As VINNAPAS 4220 L also offers an outstanding cost-benefit ratio, it represents a good combination of performance capability and economic and ecological advantages.
Further product highlights from WACKER at MosBuild• SILRES BS for effective facade protection: Silicone resin emulsion paints based on SILRES BS rank among the most advanced facade coating systems, offering an effective combination of the outstanding properties of both mineral and syntheticresin-bound paints. These include very high water-vapour permeability, extremely low water uptake and tremendous durability. SILRES BS products are innovative, eco-compatible raw materials for the production of water-repellent masonry coatings and construction chemicals and materials.• VINNAPAS LL 3112 for fire protection coatings:  The polymer dispersion VINNAPAS LL 3112 is an innovative binder for intumescent coatings. These special fire-protection coatings encase steel girders and, in the event of a fire, form a heat-resistant barrier so that the load-bearing structures of a building remain stable for longer. As a binder, VINNAPAS LL 3112 ensures adequate foam development and foam stability, coupled with improved adhesion and strength, so that the protective layer remains firmly bonded to the substrate.
• GENIOSIL STP-E: hybrid polymers for modern adhesives and sealants: GENIOSIL STP-E technology’s alpha hybrid polymers are ideal for producing fast-curing, one-component adhesives and sealants. The alpha effect even allows for the formulation of tin-free systems. Adhesives formulated with GENIOSIL STP-E have outstanding mechanical properties, are exempt from labelling requirements and can be formulated without plasticisers and solvents. GENIOSIL STP-E is used, for example, for bonding parquet floors.
• VINNAPAS 7055 E: versatile and flexible: The dispersible polymer powder VINNAPAS 7055 E is a copolymer based on vinyl acetate and ethylene that is ideal for formulating one part cementitious sealing slurries. The product offers strong adhesion, even after continuous water exposure, high elasticity, outstanding crack-bridging ability, even at low temperatures, and is easy to process. VINNAPAS 7055 E can, therefore, be used for the permanent, durable waterproofing of sewers, basements, swimming pools or damp rooms, such as kitchens and bathrooms.
