The Bauma 2023 edition provided us with a new educational opportunity as we interacted with all business stakeholders and gained an understanding of the industry’s developments.

What innovations have you launched recently?

Ajax is well known for its engineering expertise. We’ve launched our self-propelled boom pump. It is patented equipment, and with the investments, we feel this machine will reach locations where others cannot. Our continuous focus is on innovation, enabling clients to deliver more, and we will continue to be the driving force propelling Ajax forward in the years ahead.

With global industries going green, how is AJAX renewing its sustainability commitment?

There is no denying that sustainability is ingrained in our thinking and execution of goals as we move forward. It’s not only about sustainability; we also need to consider the ecological, social, and governance (ESG) objectives. So, in terms of governance and ethics, Ajax has taken an unyielding and principled stance on this from the start. And we will continue to be measured and monitored by global governance standards.

Second, in terms of Electric, we will try to keep this in line with our customers’ needs. So those are the areas where we will continue to concentrate our efforts. The third factor to consider is the presence of dust in any concrete location. And our products are designed so that there are as few dust particles in the air as possible. I believe we can state unequivocally and confidently that our products fulfil the essential environmental requirements and will continue to do so in the future.

And how do you plan to add value to infrastructure projects with your equipment?

We are perfectly positioned as an Atmanirbhar Indian company to build the infrastructure of this country, whether it is ports, roads, airports, bridges, dams, tunnels, or whatever. And we are pretty pleased to have brought Indian engineering expertise to the country.

Ajax has also contributed in the past; if we look at just one product, the company controls more than 70 percent of the self-loading concrete mixer market. In India, a single self-loading concrete mixer transforms 16 percent of cement into concrete. Our machines have been tested at 16,000 feet above sea level and are used in challenging environments.

Given that this is an intriguing position, what are your plans for Ajax?

Ajax has been in business for the last 30 years as the pinnacle of the world-class concrete machinery industry in India. Our innovation and engineering capabilities, combined with our reliable, high-quality products, have created high resale value for our customers. These are livelihood machines that help change the lives of our customers. The government’s continued infrastructure push is positively altering India’s standing. We at Ajax are well positioned to capitalise on the same, not only with our existing product line but also with our new product line, which we believe will be able to respond to new requirements as they arise. This will add certainty to our projected expansion plans for the next four years.
