Innovative ideas to solve global challenges are the focus of the marketplace of innovations in BASF’s ‘We create chemistry’ world tour made its South Asia debut at Mumbai.  The tour, which kicked off in Mannheim, Germany, in January 2012 and will continue until mid-2013, is designed to help the company’s stakeholders experience some of the company’s leading innovations for a sustainable future.
The interactive exhibition features 20 world class BASF innovations like Pharmaceutical Excipients; Modern Insulation Materials; AgCelence; Red Pigments for LCD color Filters; OLEDs: Displays of the Future; Natugrains TS; Pure Balance Footwear: The Polyurethane Concept Shoe; Kaurit Light: New lightweight technology; Consumer Driven Innovation; Water Solutions; smart forvision: A look at the future of electric mobility; Windy Future: Using wind sustainably; Ecovio-Biodegradable Plastics; CO2 Technology: Innovation for CO2 and Co; E-Mobility: Innovation for Future Mobility; Cyposol: Into a sunny future; Elastopave-Going new ways; Drought Tolerant Corn; New Concrete Technologies: Concrete & Sustainability; Photovoltaic: Organic Solar Cells.
While talking at the exhibition, Prasad Chandran, Chairman, BASF Companies in India & Head South Asia, said, “Through the marketplace of innovations, BASF is showcasing solutions from the world of chemistry for the challenges of a growing world population.
