This is the first of its kind for a professional certification programme for structural riggers and roofers in collaboration with CIDC.

In order to support and encourage the Indian steel building and construction industry, Tata BlueScope Steel launched its unique structural riggers and roofers professional certification programme on July 21st, 2022 at one of its prestigious customer sites, IDEX India Pvt. Ltd., Sanand, Gujarat. This initiative will address the industry’s current shortage of professionally trained structural riggers and roofers, as well as increase the employability of this skilled labour.

Council). A two-day workshop, it includes both on-site and theoretical frameworks.

• Mobile equipment operating techniques and risk management
• Certification post assessment

The demand for people who can install steel structures and roof systems safely and with a high-quality finish is high. A professionally built structure is more durable, safer, and studier, allowing for superior aesthetics. “About 40 construction workers qualified to receive national level certification from CIDC,” said Pulin Trivedi, General Manager of Building Solutions, of the current batch. This workshop has given them more knowledge, confidence, and pride in their work. This will enable them to work with improved safety practices and cutting-edge approaches.
