What are the key technology trends in crushing and screening equipment? 

The Indian market for crushers is one of the world’s largest and varied. There is a demand for all sizes and combinations of crushers. In the last five years, there has been a significant demand surge for all kinds of crushers. Every machine/plant of every manufacturer must’ve seen a growth. What is clear is that the clients now are better educated and more discerning about their choices. Clients now, like always, want everything, except that they have more choice and better understanding of the process. They want more dependable plants and machinery, less power used, less downtime, better shape of output, more output, ease of service, ease of spares and all this should at the most economic price as possible.

How this is offered, be in capacity of output or in type of plant like fixed, mobile or track, keeps changing from client to client, but in all fairness is pretty large for each segment. One particular machine which has seen a panIndia surge in demand are cyclone-based sand washers. As cleaning of manufactured sand seems to be the issue, the clients have more or less finalised cyclone-based hydro washers as the preferred solution. This technology has been around for a very long time, but I see demand from across the country right now. 

What are the new solutions offered by the company for mining and quarrying applications?

We at RD Crushers offer a wide and comprehensive range of jaw crushers, secondary jaw crushers, cone crushers, vertical shaft impactors (VSI), horizontal shaft impactors (HSI), feeders, vibrating screens, sand washers and thickeners to go with them. Each product is designed and manufactured for rugged use with high durability. Our products are backed by nationwide service and support network. We believe with this we can meet majority of demand of the crusher industry. 

How do you see the demand trend for crushers? 

Which type and capacity are fast moving? The Indian crusher market is one of the world’s largest and varied. Due to the country’s vastness and rock availability and project mix, there is demand for virtually all kinds of crushers, and all in fairly large numbers. On one hand, one can see larger capacity 250-400TPH plants being demanded more, but one also sees a huge growth in the small 50-80 TPH segment. What is important is that the machine ought to be dependable, with precision manufacturing and great service support, which will ensure one grows faster than its peers. 

What are your expansion plans in the coming years? 

We have seen a strong growth in the last five years. Last year was an aberration, but sales figures were still very good. I see strong growth of the entire crushing industry for the next many years, if notdecades. To encash this unique growth opportunity that we have been presented, RD Crushers has embarked on a very aggressive expansion plan to double production and is also setting up a casting unit. RD has entered into newer markets in India and in Africa, as we are seeing a surge in demand for its products and solutions. Keeping this in mind, it was necessary to both expand and modernise the manufacturing capability. We expect the newer facilities to be operational by early 2022.
