Organica Biotech is a biotech company providing natural solutions for the realms of agriculture, aquaculture, waste water treatment and sanitation. The company claims to have unique solutions for complex social and environmental problems.

A major portion of household waste, also termed as “gray water”, is discharged into septic tanks, where differences in density separates the sewage in to 3 distinct layers, including floating scum, suspended slurry and dense sludge.

Improper maintenance and use of harsh cleaning chemicals can lead to septic tank failures. Household wastes shelter harmful chemicals which compromise the efficiency of the inherent microbes present in septic tanks. Septic system failure is manifested in the form of building up of bottom sludge, overfilling of the tank or sewage surfacing on the ground around the tank. All these represent the failure of bacteria residing in septic tanks to degrade the sewage.

The anoxic condition of most septic tanks hinders the growth of several microbes. Oxygen molecules serve the role of effective electron acceptors. In its absence, these organisms cannot degrade the organic matter in the tanks efficiently. This can ultimately result in the total failure of the septic system. Therefore, a timely remedial step is required to restore the beneficial flora of the septic system.

Contrary to prevalent notion, septic tanks should not be boxed from all sides, as this limits the percolation of waste water. The issues associated with harmful characteristics of waste water percolation can be eliminated by using advanced microbial technology. An optimum blend of robust microbes can not only tolerate the adverse conditions but also efficiently handle variable shock loads that are undeniably encountered in the septic system.

Bioclean Septic
Bioclean Septic embodies robust, enriched and highly specific microbes, which are highly competent at degrading the organic matter that enters the septic tank. These microbes help in restoring biological health of septic tank systems. Microbes in Bioclean Septic are enabled to maintain the working efficiency of the septic tank, thus combating the common problems of overflow, backups, seepage of untreated sewage and odour emission. Microbial technology bestows added benefits of operational cost saving and enhanced longevity to septic tanks!

Microbes present in Bioclean Septic constantly break down the volatile fatty acids present in the system in to carbon dioxide and water, thereby eliminating one of the root causes of odor. These end products can be eliminated easily. These microbes also compete with pathogenic bacteria in the system for nutrients, and outnumber them, thus eliminating them from the system. The seepage of such water into the water table thus will not have any adverse impacts.

The microbes in Bioclean Septic are facultative in nature and can be commissioned in both anaerobic and aerobic conditions in septic tank. An added benefit of employing Bioclean Septic is that the microbes start their biodegradation in the pipeline itself thereby ensuring that the septic system is clean and free from undesirable blockage. This further reduces the need of frequent pump-outs. In the wake of perturbing environmental problems like water scarcity, it is also noteworthy that Bioclean Septic degrades sewage properly, thus water can be efficiently recycled.
